As I’ve gotten older, adult responsibilities have become overwhelming. Being on vacation felt wrong. Watching the sunset, enjoying friends by the pool, going on a hike – it illicited guilt for not being home to help those at home. What I am slowly learning about myself is that recharging my batteries is NOT failure or procrastination. It’s part of what fuels me.
If your brain is all over the place and overwhelmed, it’s okay to take a break.
